India's agricultural and processed food industry took center stage at the 39th edition of AAHAR 2025, held from March 4th to 8th at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) played a pivotal role in the exhibition, showcasing the country's agricultural and processed food excellence. APEDA facilitated the participation of 95 exhibitors, comprising Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), entrepreneurs, and leading manufacturing companies from 17 states and several Union Territories. During the 'India Plant-Based Foods Show,' organized by the Plant-Based Food Industry Association at AAHAR 2025, APEDA Chairman Abhishek Dev underscored India's growing footprint in agricultural and processed food exports. He also emphasized the importance of expanding plant-based food exports as a sustainable alternative to meet global environmental goals.

Diverse Display of Indian Food Products

APEDA's Pavilion at AAHAR 2025 was a hub of activity, featuring a comprehensive range of organic and processed foods, beverages, spices, meat products, and agri-produce. The display included:

  • Millets and their value-added products
  • Dehydrated onions and garlic

Interactive Culinary Experience

A highlight of the APEDA Pavilion was the vibrant wet sampling area, where a renowned Indian chef and his team conducted live demonstrations of traditional and contemporary Indian dishes. Visitors had the opportunity to taste nutritious millet-based delights such as millet mathri pie, ragi and mango smoothie, foxtail corn risotto, aromatic biryani, and wholesome brown rice porridge. This interactive segment not only celebrated India's culinary heritage but also showcased the versatility of Indian agricultural produce.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Hon'ble Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, Chirag Paswan, in the presence of industry leaders, innovators, and global experts.
